2MUCH – AFTERWAVE è il primo studio di un progetto coreografico creato e interpretato da due danzatrici e giovani autrici. Il lavoro indaga l’eredità emotiva e culturale della New Wave degli anni ’80 e ’90, non come ricostruzione storica ma come riflessione su ciò che di quell’immaginario continua a influenzare il presente. Attraverso una pratica condivisa fatta di improvvisazione e composizione istantanea, le performer costruiscono una partitura fisica che alterna eccesso e vulnerabilità. Al centro non c’è un’identità da rappresentare, ma una relazione tra bisogno di essere viste e paura di esporsi.
“2MUCH – AFTERWAVE” is the first study of a choreographic project created and performed by two dancers and young authors. The work explores the emotional and cultural legacy of the 1980s and 1990s New Wave, not as a historical reconstruction but as a reflection on what aspects of that imagery continue to influence the present. Through a shared practice based on improvisation and instant composition, the performers build a physical score that alternates between excess and vulnerability. At the center there isn’t an identity to be represented, but a relationship between the need to be seen and the fear of exposure.
