IL BANDO
Presente Futuro, giunto alla 13ma edizione, è un festival internazionale con un premio annesso dedicato alla giovane creazione contemporanea nell’ambito delle arti performative della scena (Teatro, Danza, Teatro-Danza, Physical Theatre, Performance). Il Festival che si pone come momento di visibilità e promozione della scena emergente europea, intende sostenere e accompagnare la creazione contemporanea attraverso connessioni internazionali, sostegno alla produzione, residenze e confronto con pubblici e operatori del settore di diversi paesi. Rispondendo all’identità internazionale e alla vocazione dello scambio artistico culturale del Teatro Libero Palermo e del suo antico festival “Incontroazione”, “Presente Futuro”, intende creare delle opportunità di connessioni che consentano l’accompagnamento alla produzione e il sostegno della giovane creatività votata ai nuovi linguaggi della scena. Il Festival declinerà la propria identità attraverso attività di formazione, incontri, scambi e il premio “Presente Futuro Prize” che consentirà di ottenere un premio in denaro, una residenza, e l’opportunità di presentare un frammento del proprio lavoro al “Be Festival” di Birmingham e in altri festival europei.
Possono partecipare al Bando soggetti (singoli artisti, compagnie, gruppi) residenti su tutto il territorio UE dotati di Agibilità (Modello A1 per i non residenti in Italia), inseriti in un percorso professionale da almeno tre anni, tra i cui componenti vi sia una prevalenza di artisti e/o tecnici con età inferiore ai 35 anni, che propongano creazioni compiute o parti di creazioni della durata massima di 20 minuti nell’ambito delle performing arts (teatro, danza, teatro-danza, performance).

THE CALL
Presente Futuro is an International Festival with an award directed to the young contemporary creation in the field of the performing arts (theatre, dance, dance theatre, physical theatre, performance).
The 13th edition of the Festival, aiming at showing and promoting the emerging European scene, wants to support the contemporary creation through international connections, production support, recidencies and the comparison with different realities and people coming from different countries.
“Presente Futuro”, with its strong international identity and the vocation for the artistic and cultural exchange, which is typical of Teatro Libero Palermo and its early Festival “Incontroazione”, means to built opportunities of connections in order to facilitate the production and to support the young creativity devoted to the new languages of the scene.
The Festival will be full of workshops, meetings, exchanges and the award “Presente Futuro Prize”, a prize money with a recidency and the chance, for the winning company, to perform a piece of its work at “Be Festival” in Birmingham and in other festivals still to be confirmed.
Single artists, companies and teams resident in the UE can join the call if they:
- are provided with the insurance (A1 model for not-residents in Italy);
- have an artistic and professional experience of at least 3 years;
- are preferably under 35;
- can propose a work (or a piece of work) no longer than 20 minutes and related to the field of the performing arts (theatre, dance, dance-theatre, performance).
