Sono ufficialmente aperte le selezioni per la 17esima edizione del festival internazionale “Presente Futuro” che si terrà dal 16 al 20 maggio 2023. Il festival, organizzato dal Teatro Libero di Palermo, si pone l’obiettivo di accompagnare la creazione contemporanea attraverso connessioni internazionali, sostegno alla produzione, residenze e confronto con pubblici e operatori del settore, ponendosi come momento di visibilità e promozione della scena emergente europea.
Il bando, consultabile al seguente link: è rivolto ad artisti, compagnie e gruppi di tutto il territorio europeo – con prevalenza di artisti under 35 – che presenteranno un progetto di performing arts della durata non inferiore ai 20 minuti.
Diversi i premi previsti: “Presente Futuro Prize di 2.000 € più quindici giorni di residenza e l’opportunità di presentare il lavoro compiuto all’interno della stagione 23/24 del Libero o in seno alla 18esima edizione del Festival del 2024; diverse residenze internazionali come quella offerta dal festival Between The Seas (Grecia) e dal Teatro San Materno di Ascona (Svizzera) e una residenza nazionale promossa dal Dipartimento SARAS dell’Università La Sapienza di Roma in collaborazione con l’Associazione Settimo Cielo/ Teatro Comunale La Fenice di Arsoli (RM).
Per l’iscrizione al bando di selezione è necessario inviare entro e non oltre il 28 febbraio 2023, alle ore 12.00, a mezzo mail all’indirizzo di posta elettronica: bandi@teatroliberopalermo.it, una mail avente come oggetto: “PF2023 + TITOLO PROGETTO”, secondo quanto richiesto nel bando consultabile sul sito www.teatroliberopalermo.it; Per eventuali chiarimenti relativi al bando si prega di scrivere a segreteria@teatroliberopalermo.it.

Presente Futuro is an International Festival with an award directed to the young contemporary creation in the field of the performing arts (theatre, dance, dance theatre, physical theatre, performance).
The 17th edition of the Festival, aiming at showing and promoting the emerging European scene, wants to support the contemporary creation through international connections, production support, recidencies and the comparison with different realities and people coming from different countries.
“Presente Futuro”, with its strong international identity and the vocation for the artistic and cultural exchange, which is typical of Teatro Libero Palermo and its early Festival “Incontroazione”, means to built opportunities of connections in order to facilitate the production and to support the young creativity devoted to the new languages of the scene.
The Festival will be full of workshops, meetings, exchanges and several awards that will allow to obtain a production budget, different residencies and the programming dates.
The “Presente Futuro Prize” includes a production quota of 2.000,00€, a 15-days artistic residency and the chance to show the long version of the project over the 2023/2024 Season of Teatro Libero or during Presente Futuro Festival 2024. Other awards will be assigned, such as the international residencies offered by the festival Between The Seas (Greece) and San Materno Theatre in Ascona (Switzerland) and a national residencie offered by the Association Settimo Cielo of Rome/Teatro Comunale La Fenice di Arsoli (RM) or money prizes in order to support the artistic creation and provided by San Materno Theatre in Ascona (Switzerland) and by COBAS Scuola of Palermo.
