“La Madonna della munnezza” is an internal drama, a body to body between two solitudes closed in the same den. Titta and Caterina live in a house-labyre, a rickety altar to the past where objects retain more than they need. He, a former garbage collector, has made the accumulation a liturgy; she looks for air among the piles that suffocate her. When the parents’ apartment is free, the sick balance is cracked. The discovery of a burnt Madonna becomes the breaking point: Titta entrusts inverted prayers to that crooked figure to keep her niece, but the gesture frees her and condemns him to loneliness. In the void enters Michael, young Roma, a dirty angel who guides Titta towards a future in which objects are no longer shields but only weight.
